Uses

The definition is largely based on context when it comes to the internet.

--It could literally mean a barbecue "I went over to Odin's house and ate BBQ!"

--Most often however on the forums, a 'BBQ' means a user on the forum is getting flamed by multiple other users, often one main attacker serving as the cook while others rapidly dig in. These happen mostly in Rants to a lesser degree where a user is discovered and consider to be a nitwit and is hit with sarcastic barbs. It's IB form often results in multiple users spamming or hijacking a thread. This is frowned upon by the mods but is also an effective tactic as banning multiple prominent users can create terrible and terrific backlash for the mod.

--Often uses in conjunction with other internet abbreviations such as "OMG" and "WTF" to express a violent reaction to a bizarre occurance or as a means of conveying sarcasm. ...
